Thanks to all the prayer and financial supporters!  Below are updates from the hard-working staff.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you so much for your prayer and support for our ministry this summer.  God has really been using this summer to grow me, especially in learning to be a leader.  I have taken over for Stacey in children’s ministry and that has been a huge learning experience.  Doubling as a kids ministry teacher and dining hall hostess has tested my patience and endurance.  However, I am grateful for this experience and what God has for me in the future.  Please keep me in your prayers as we finish out our last few weeks.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you so much for your willingness to support me and pray for Pinebrook.  This summer has been a great one.  God raised up a great group of teens this year and everyone has been working very hard.  This summer God called me to work as the Girls Head Conselor and Head of the Nursery.  I also took on running the snack shop in the afternoons.  I have loved everything about being here and everything we have been doing.  Even though we are all running on only a little bit of sleep, everyone has been working to glorify God in everything we do.  I have loved growing and learning with this staff.  I hope that as the summer is coming to a close, that we are able to keep our energy up and serve in a way that shows God’s love to everyone we meet.  Thank you so much for your continuous prayer!

Sincerely yours,

Abigail Henry

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for the prayer and support you have provided for the summer staff this year.  It has been a crazy summer so far, growing and learning both personally and as a team of brothers and sisters in Christ, and I’m sure we all would appreciate the continued prayer as we finish out our summer here.  Pray that we would endure through the final weeks and serve with joyful hearts, continuing to have patience with each other and the guests.  Thank you again for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your prayers, God has completely destroyed me this summer.  God has emptied me of myself and filled me with himself in more ways than I can count.  I’ve learned a lot about how faulty my character is.  All I want is to be like Jesus Christ.  Could you pray that my life continues to be a sacrificial offering unto him.  Pray that he continues to show me humility and grace towards others.  Much love and thanks again for your support.

Dear Supporters,

I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been doing good at Pinebrook this summer and it has been fun over the past 5 weeks.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for supporting me as I work at Pinebrook.  This summer I worked in the dining hall, snack shop, children’s ministry, and housekeeping.  I have had a great summer so far as I have met many new people and I am growing in my faith.  Thank you for praying for me as I serve the guests here at Pinebrook to show God’s love.  Please pray for me to have energy to finish out the summer as it can be very tiring.

Thank you,

Dear Supporters,

I would like to thank you all for the prayers and support that was given to me this summer.  This summer I have been working in the dining hall, children’s ministries, snack shop, housekeeping and a little of maintenance.  It has been a good summer and being here has given me more skills that I had not had in the previous summer.  Could you pray for me in wisdom, strength, encouragement and empowerment from God while working.

Sincerely,

ShanAnn Simmons

Dear Supporters,

Working at Pinebrook has given me a lot of work ethic and a better relationship with God.  Please pray for me to be kind and patient with my fellow workers and instructors.  Being here has given me the chance to grow in faith and to learn more about him and what is to come.  We have been going over the book of Revelation and it has been leading me to want to know more about God.

Thank you,

Kaitlyn Serfass

Dear Supporters

I just want to start by thanking you for your monetary and prayer support.  These past few weeks have been challenging, full of hard work, and a great experience.  I am the Head of the dishpit and one of the boy counselors.  One of the struggles I’ve experienced this summer is patience.  Please pray that God will give me patience as I work with people who I don’t always get along with and for the strength to get through these next couple weeks.  Again, I thank you for your support and prayers.

In Christ,

Ben Appel

Dear Support Partners,

I want to start off by thanking you for all your prayers.  I can clearly see God’s impact on my summer as he has helped me through tough situations and has always given me strength to endure.  You can pray for me as I’m getting over a cold and a perforated ear drum at the same time.  I will be starting my last week of work for the summer in a few days and I am excited and a little sad to be going home after that.  I want to thank you again for your prayer support as it encourages me to know that people back home are thinking and praying for me.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you so much for everything you’ve provided me.  Your prayers and support have been such a great help this summer.  Everything is going pretty well but there have been some rough spots.  Keep praying for me as I finish up my summer here at Pinebrook.  Thank you!

Sincerely,

Joel Hinkle

Dear Supporters,

This summer I have been working in different jobs that include dishpit, grounds, waiter, and snack shop.  Some things that you can pray for me: strength to keep going, wisdom in what to do and say while working, and also courage to stand up for my faith and for God.  I want to thank you for your support and prayers.  Thank you!

Sincerely,

Noah Appel

Hey Everyone!

Thank you so much for supporting me throughout this summer.  Just wanted to say that I’m doing very well.  I’m making memories I will never forget, life long friendships, and having a closer walk with God.  I would like to ask if you could continue to pray for me.  I am very tired physically but am wide awake spiritually.  So I am in need of strength.  Thank you so much again.

Always,

Julia Platcheck

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for supporting me while I am at Pinebrook.  My jobs at Pinebrook are working in the dining hall, dishpit, kids ministry and snack shop.  This summer has gone very well.  I am learning how to be patient with others.  Pray that I would also have the strength to get through this summer.  God has given me strength to serve this summer and God has shown me how to serve even what I don’t feel  like it on some days.

Dear Supporters,

I wanna start off by saying “Thank you!” for supporting/praying for me.  Work has been very tiring and I gotta be blunt because that’s just how I am; my patience is wearing thin, so please as you have, continue to pray for me as I work at this camp.  The guests and staff are for the most part friendly.  Though we can’t get along with everyone, some people don’t click together.  Please pray that I hold my tongue because that is a definite struggle for me when someone is disrespectful.  Some praises are the many friendships I have made over the summer as it closes.  God has blessed me with the gift of “outgoingness!”  Well I would try to write more but no more thoughts are coming to my head, sorry! I love you all.

Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you for your prayers and support as I work at Pinebrook this summer.  This summer I have been working in nursery, dining hall, and snack shop.  So far I’ve had a great time getting to know all of the guests and new staff members this summer.  I’ve also been able to grow in my faith and learn more about God from our staff devotions.  Please pray that I would have patience and strength as I continue working this summer.

Thank you,

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your time praying for me and supporting me, Grace Bible Fellowship Church.  I’m glad to call your church my home church.  This summer I’m a lifeguard at Pinebrook.  I also have to float around and do other stuff because we are understaffed.  Last summer we had 35 kids and this year we have 20.  So I have done bussing and I have cleaned dishes.
